IT’S CHURCH CAMP TIME:

Come and Share God’s Love Freely at Lutheran Memorial Camp this summer. Church Camp is offered to kids K-12 grades. Your stay will include swimming, hiking, crafts, food, singing, games, campfires, worship and most importantly sharing God’s love freely. It will be an experience of a life time for your child. This year Providence has chosen the weeks of July 20-25, July 27-Aug. 1, and August 3 – August 8, 2008 to attend. These weeks offer the most variety for each age group and will allow most everyone to be together, including the adult chaperones. However, there are many other dates to choose from. The cost of camp is $330.00 for kids K-5 and $340.00 for kids grades 6-12. This seems very expensive but is little compared to what your child will learn and bring home to share with you and others. And as long as a parent and child/children participate in fundraisers that are being offered or that you want to coordinate the cost won’t be an issue. There is also an early bird discount if registered by March 31^st. Last year we saved over $650.00 by registering kids early. There is also a sibling discount available for those that can take advantage of this feature.

PLANNING HAS TO START EARLY. We need one or two volunteers willing to head up VBS. One of the ways Providence Lutheran Church spreads the Gospel and the Good news of Jesus is through Vacation Bible School. We had  over 100 kids from our church and many others attend during the week of VBS. We also need several volunteers to help with this very exciting and fun week. No experience necessary… just a passion to serve Christ and someone who loves kids!! Please call the Church office, 419-865-4548 to inquire more or to volunteer.
