CHANGES IN THE KROGER CARES PROGRAM:
·
The
name is changed to Kroger Community Rewards (or KCR).
·
Gift
cards are no longer used and will not earn the troop any
money after April 30, 2009.
·
All
participants will need a Kroger Plus Card and have it
linked to Providence Lutheran in order for the Church to
benefit.
·
If you
already have a Kroger Plus Card you can continue to use
it, and you can link it to the Church on the KCR
website. If you do not have a Plus Card, you can get one
at the customer service desk at any Kroger. Members of
an immediate family are able to have the same Kroger
Plus Card number.
·
You
must become an online customer through the KCR website
in order to link your Kroger Plus Card to the Troop.
·
Instructions to register as an online customer are on
the other side of this page.
·
You
cannot be registered with more than one organization at
a time, but you can change your designation every 6
months.
·
We
will no longer receive a flat 5% rebate. It will be
based on the percentage of spending of our group in
comparison to that of the other registered
organizations. Kroger is donating up to $1,250,000 per
quarter among the registered organizations.
·
Fuel
is no longer eligible. Also excluded are purchases of
alcohol, tobacco, government-assisted pharmacy expenses,
postage stamps, Kroger gift cards and Green Dot Prepaid
Cards, gift certificates, lottery and promotional
tickets, fuel center purchases, office services and
sales tax.
·
If you
use your phone number at the register, you can call
877-576-7587 to get your Kroger Plus card number.
·
Members must swipe their registered Kroger Plus card or
use the phone number that is related to their registered
Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to
count.
·
If you
are interested in the alternate SCANBAR method of member
registration, this letter is available in the church
office and you can stop in there for a copy or call
800-837-4483 and a SCANBAR letter will be mailed to you.
·
You
will need a valid email address and know what password
you would like to use (6-12
characters including at least 1 letter and 1 number –
case sensitive).
